Offering a completely non-smoking hot-spring experience, Ohara Sanso features hot-pot dinners and a unique cafe with a hot-spring foot bath. Its just 100 metres from Jakko-in Temple and offers Japanese-style rooms, free-use bicycles and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
Guests at Ohara Sanso Ryokan sleep in traditional futon beds on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. Each room comes with a flat-screen TV and air conditioning. Bathroom and toilet facilities are shared.
The hotel is a 15-minute walk or a 5-minute shuttle ride from Ohara Bus Stop, which is a 25-minute ride from Kokusai Kaikan Subway Station or a 60-minute ride from JR Kyoto Station. Sanzen-in Temple is 1.5 km away.
You can try a pottery class or reserve a hot-spring bath for private use, for an additional fee. The hotel offers both indoor and open-air hot-spring baths. Other facilities include drinks vending machines and free parking.
