OTARU RETREAT by Onko Chishin - Otaru

Just a 10-minute walk from Asarigawa Onsen Winter Resort, 小樽旅亭 蔵群 Ryokan was created by designer Makoto Nakayama and features relaxing open-air hot-spring baths, a Japanese tea room and a cafebar.

The spacious rooms are an attractive mix of traditional and modern Japanese design, with comfortable Western-style bedding and toilets. Each includes a private bathroom and fridge with minibar. Guests can relax with a fresh cup of green tea and enjoy garden or forest views.

小樽旅亭 蔵群’s 24-hour indoor and open-air hot-spring baths overlook the surrounding forest. A comfortable library and sitting room are provided for guests to unwind between baths or after skiing.

A breakfast and dinner of Japanese specialities made from local ingredients is served in the dining room and features freshly caught seafood.drinks throughout the hotel, including alcoholic drinks, are free for hotel guests.

Ryokan 小樽旅亭 蔵群 is a 15-minute drive from Otaru Ferry Terminal and a 20-minute drive from Otaruchikko Train Station. A free shuttle to and from Otaruchikko Train Station is offered.

The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 11:00.

Advance reservations are required for the Japanese tea room.

Guests wishing to use the hotel shuttle tofrom Otaruchikko Train Station must notify the hotel at least 1 day in advance. Same-day requests are not honored. The shuttle runs at 14:45, 15:45 and 16:45.

Please note that there are no restaurants around the property. The nearest one is a 30-minute drive. Guests are recommended to book with breakfast and dinner.

To eat dinner at the property, a reservation must be made at time of booking (Charges apply). Hotel cannot provide dinner when the meal is requested upon arrival. You must check in before 18:00 to eat dinner at the property. Guests who check in after this time may not be servd dinner, and no refund will be given.
